Mowana™ Active Duo is a sterile, single-use safety pen needle used with pen injector devices for subcutaneous medication delivery.
It features two active safety mechanisms, one at the patient end and one at the non-patient end, to protect users from accidental needlestick injuries.
Compatible with most commercially available pen injector devices, making it easy to use with your existing practice.
The three-facet grinded and silicone-coated needle supports a smoother, more controlled injection, enhancing handling precision with every use.
Feel secure with every injection. A visual and audible click confirms the needle is safely covered.
Press the device against a flat surface or push the mechanism with your thumb. A distinct “click” confirms the cover top is securely locked in place, protecting the patient-side needle tip.
Once locked, the cover top fully shields the needle tip. The needle remains protected and inaccessible, even after disposal.
During activation, the hinging motion of the cover top naturally pushes the sliding sleeve downward.
The downward movement creates a protective gap between the pen-side needle tip and the base of the pen needle, further minimising the chance of accidental contact.
